The concept of the internal structure and functioning of the elements of the icewater rock mudflow (Kolka glacier’s failure, 2002) has been worked out. The threelayered structure of flow with the central position of the ice blocks of optimum size has been established. These icy blocks glide throughout the multilayer waterground mass. The static instability of vertical flow pattern during the active circulation of liquid mass in different directions is changed by the dynamic stability of the highspeed motion of flexible icy body. The expenditure of energy for the disruption of ground masses from the boards, for the acceleration of the strippedoff masses and for the internal friction of flow has been calculated. The cumulative mechanism of the selfreproduction of mud flow has been described.

Key words: Inversion, density, dynamics, functional structure.
