NEW HISTORY OF SHERGIN’S MINE

The history of creation of the well-known mine has been covered. The researches in this mine promoted the formation of Geocryology – a new direction of Earth Sciences. The contemporary state of the object, which needs restoration, has been described. Special attention was focused on the works of the last year, such as the reconstruction of heapstead building, the opening-up of the ice blockage, the descent and the television survey of the mine shaft.
